  3. This is disk 53 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.

  5. Animations    Some animations made with Aegis Animator.  Includes
  6.         a player program.
  7.         Author:  Aegis Development

  9. ARCre        Creates rename scripts so that files with long names can
  10.         be easily archived and dearchived correctly by "arc".
  11.         Author:  John Hoffman
  12.  
  13. Arp        Some preliminary programs from a program started on BIX
  14.         by Charlie Heath to replace all the BCPL AmigaDOS programs
  15.         with assembly equivalents.  Includes "break", "cd", "chmod",
  16.         "echo", "filenote", and "makedir".
  17.         Author:  Charlie Heath and Scott Ballantyne
  18.  
  19. Compiler    An optimizing C compiler for the 68000.  Has successfully
  20.         compiled itself on a 68000 based Unix system V machine,
  21.         but has yet to be fully ported to the Amiga.  It will
  22.         currently produce assembly output for simple C routines
  23.         on the Amiga, but needs lots of work to be really useful
  24.         as anything other than a learning tool for budding compiler
  25.         guru's.

  28. SpreadSheet    A simple "Visicalc-like" spread sheet calculator.  Also
  29.         known as "vc" but there is currently a debate about whether
  30.         or not that name is a registered trademark.  The version
  31.         on disk number 36 was based on an earlier version of the
  32.         same source.  This release also includes source code.

  34.             Amiga port by Dave Wecker
  35.  
  36. TarSplit    A port of the OS/9 program that extracts files from
  37.         Unix tar archives.
  38.         Author:  James Jones.  Amiga version by Mike Meyer.
  39.  
  40. UUencode    Programs to encode/decode binary files for transmittal
  41.         via mail or other text-only methods.  The binary file
  42.         is expanded by approximately 35% for transmittal.  This
  43.         release is an update to the version on disk number 38,
  44.         and includes a simple line-by-line checksum technique that
  45.         can read and write files compatible with the older
  46.         uuencode/uudecode.
